Educational Goals

To help students develop abilities to take care of daily life chores and build up harmony interpersonal relationship.

To develop students' occupational skills and to inspire them.

To cultivate students' working habits and attitudes so that they can adapt themselves to the mainstream society.

Equipments

We have thorough equipment, including professional cooking classroom, car washing ground, hairdressing classroom, small farms, and pottery classroom. Computer education is also emphasized in this Dept.

Curriculum Design

To prepare the students to survive in the real world, the curriculum design emphasizes on the development of their abilities to work in their future jobs and to live independently. As a result, in addition to the guiding principles proclaimed in special education curriculum, we emphasize the teaching on home economics and commercial subjects. Through 3-year education, the students will acquire basic concepts related to housework and commercial service so as to adapt to the society after graduation.

Faculty

ㆍAll the teachers in the department, including the division supervisor, the homeroom teachers, as well as the full-time teachers, all possess teacher's certificates in special education. For courses such as cooking, pottery, hair-designing, car-washing and gardening, part-time teachers are invited to conduct the instruction.
